Lulu's place is something that I think is somewhat rare on Airbnb these days - it feels like a home. I really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and the detailed local recommendations (including hikes and scenic drives). Waking up in that space was so peaceful - exactly what I was looking for in a weekend to Vermont. I felt like I could've stayed forever. Lulu even helped me interpret an iffy weather report that might've impacted my drive out. I've spent a lot of time in the Woodstock area, and this is as good as it gets without having to spend down your savings account.

This was by far my favorite air bnb stay. The place was very clean, bed was comfy, kitchen was well equipped, views are outstanding. The house smelled so good too! Lulu is so sweet and welcoming. She made sure we had everything we needed. She had a super helpful welcome book with suggestions of food places, bars, and walking trails. We stayed with our dog and he loved playing with her two dogs. We can not wait to stay here again.

Booking directly with us comes with a few perks — mainly,

Rental Guardian, so any little hiccups along the way are handled, no drama required.
Plus, guests have the option to sign up for travel insurance, which can cover things like missed flights or unexpected interruptions — peace of mind from start to finish. It’s basically the best of both worlds: you save a bit, I save a bit, with zero fuss.

More About The Main House
OVERVIEW
Guests say the house feels cozy, comfortable, and full of little surprises that make it instantly feel like home — the kind of place where you can kick off your shoes and stay awhile. It’s close to Woodstock but tucked away in a private country setting, perfect for long dog walks right from your front door (don’t worry, the dogs love making new friends). Wander the woodland trails in any season, rarely crossing another soul, or grab a drink and relax on the back deck with total privacy and views that make you forget there’s a world beyond the hills.
PARKING
There’s space for up to three cars, and if you need more, we can usually figure something out. In winter, I might ask you to park one car in the garage (automatic opener!) to make life easier for the plow guy. Consider it a Vermont winter survival tip.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is the heart of the house — originally designed by Lulu to host nutrition classes, but now perfect for any kind of culinary adventure. With two convection ovens and tons of countertop space, two chefs can happily cook without elbowing each other, while friends and family sip drinks at the 12' bar and keep the conversation flowing. A wall of windows floods the room with light and the view of the woods.
Pantry? Check. Cupboards? Plenty. Modern conveniences? Absolutely. Spices, herbs, coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, vinegar — all provided. Just bring your ingredients (and your appetite) and get ready to create something delicious.
Prefer not to cook? No problem! I have connections with a personal chef who can prepare a meal for your arrival or during your stay — just let me know if this interests you and I'll put you in touch.
DINING
Sit down together at the main dining table, which seats 8 comfortably, or grab a sunny spot in the unheated seasonal sunroom, also seating 8, for breakfast with a view. For more casual fare, perch at the 12' kitchen island high bar (seats 4) and soak in the woods outside. When the weather’s nice, the deck picnic table (seats 6) next to the BBQ is perfect for al fresco meals — and the occasional marshmallow roast.
LIVING ROOM
The living room is made for sinking in. Two couches (one a sofa-bed), a flat-screen TV, and a propane fireplace set the stage for cozy evenings. There’s a sunny chair and table by the window — perfect for coffee, a book, or bird watching. Extra blankets, candles, and a little hygge magic make it the ideal spot to unwind after a day of hiking or exploring.
WORK AREAS
Need to get some work done? Spread out at the 5' electric desk in the kitchen, or retreat to the smaller desk in the Queen bedroom for quiet, privacy, and zero interruptions.
