Welcome to the Cottage
This cozy two-story country cottage is bright, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you need for a peaceful stay. Smaller and more intimate than the main house, it’s ideal for guests who appreciate simplicity, quiet, and a space that feels immediately welcoming.
With lovely views of the pasture and sunsets over Densmore Hill, the cottage feels tucked into the landscape without feeling isolated. It’s spotlessly clean, well cared for, and designed to be easy to live in — whether you’re here for a quick getaway or a longer stay.

Lulu's place is something that I think is somewhat rare on Airbnb these days - it feels like a home. I really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and the detailed local recommendations (including hikes and scenic drives). Waking up in that space was so peaceful - exactly what I was looking for in a weekend to Vermont. I felt like I could've stayed forever. Lulu even helped me interpret an iffy weather report that might've impacted my drive out. I've spent a lot of time in the Woodstock area, and this is as good as it gets without having to spend down your savings account.

This was by far my favorite air bnb stay. The place was very clean, bed was comfy, kitchen was well equipped, views are outstanding. The house smelled so good too! Lulu is so sweet and welcoming. She made sure we had everything we needed. She had a super helpful welcome book with suggestions of food places, bars, and walking trails. We stayed with our dog and he loved playing with her two dogs. We can not wait to stay here again.

More About The Cottage
OVERVIEW
Guests often tell us the cottage feels cozy, comfortable, and instantly welcoming — the kind of place that makes you exhale the moment you walk in. Bright and thoughtfully laid out over two stories, it has a relaxed, lived-in feel that encourages slower mornings, quiet evenings, and staying in just a little longer than planned.
With peaceful views of the pasture and rolling hills along Densmore Hill Road, the cottage feels connected to the rhythm of the countryside while still being close to Woodstock and local amenities. Fast Wi-Fi, warm wood floors, and all the little comforts of home make it equally well suited for a weekend escape or a longer stay. Dogs settle in quickly here too — and yes, they often make new friends.
Books, puzzles, cribbage, cards, and a few simple games invite you to unplug, while fresh-cut flowers and garden produce (when in season) add a small but special Vermont touch.
PARKING
There’s space for up to two cars right by the cottage, and if you’re arriving with more, we can usually accommodate — just ask. Parking is easy and close, making unloading and settling in a breeze year-round.
KITCHEN
The cottage kitchen is small but efficient, stocked with everything you need to cook comfortably during your stay. It includes an electric stove-top and oven, a Nuwave air fryer / smart oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, and both drip and French press coffee makers.
You’ll find the cupboards well supplied with essentials — spices, herbs, olive oil, vinegar, sugar, coffee, and tea — so you can keep things simple or get a little creative. It’s not a chef’s kitchen, but it’s practical, easy to use, and designed for relaxed, everyday cooking.
DINING
The dining table seats four comfortably and sits beside large windows with lovely views of the pasture, hills, and especially beautiful sunsets. It’s a favorite spot for unhurried breakfasts, shared meals, or lingering over a glass of wine as the light fades.
LIVING ROOM
The open-concept living area is sunny, bright, and welcoming. With comfortable seating, a flat-screen TV, and plenty of natural light, it’s an easy place to curl up with a book, work on a puzzle, or wind down after a day exploring the Upper Valley.
WORK AREA
If you need to get some work done, there’s a 5' desk in the downstairs bedroom, positioned by a sliding patio door that opens onto the deck with views of the hills — quiet, private, and surprisingly inspiring.
